Hi guys,

Im 21 this yr and ive been really interested in learning how to play guitar a few yrs back. this year my bf wants to get me a new acoustic guitar for my 1st christmas present and im really excited.

the only problem we have is that we both doesnt know anything bout buying a new acoustic guitar. so i really will appreciate anyone here that can give me advice on which guitar is the best to get in the market for my situation. ive never play any guitar before but i would like to learn some pop music or bit of punk/rock. doesnt really want to spend too much $ too. maybe around $100-200.

Well for that kind of money, I'ld drop it on a Fender Telecoustic or the Ibenez variety of the acoustic. The good thing about these guitars for new players is that the fretboards are more like their electric guitar counterparts. They are easy to play.
