Greetings,

I am writing a program to display chords over lyrics using the ChordPro format. I would like to include chord diagrams at the bottom of the page for all the chords in the song. Can anybody tell me why the chord definitions for the same chords use a different base fret? For example, I have seen both of the following definitions for an "A "chord:

{define: A base-fret 0 frets 0 0 2 2 2 0}

{define: A base-fret 1 frets 0 0 2 2 2 0}

It seems to me that one of these has to be wrong, but which one is correct?

Thanks for any help you can give.

Sincerely,
John Miller
