The Sheraton 2's alright, but yeah, you get what you pay for. If you can manage it, the Elite series of Epi's are a spot better quality, and I'm pretty sure the Elite series offers a Sheraton.

The one Epi Sheraton I played just felt... cheap, though. Sort of delicate.

I play an epi sheraton and i prefer it over my 96 gibson LP studio. it is by far the nicest of the epiphone series. if you want great quality for a low price, go get one

Confused

I own a Sheraton II that I got used for 300 bucks, used. I also tested many a new and used real 335. The hardware on the EPI is lower quality, but the tuners are pretty good. I love my Sheraton. It sounds as good as some 335's I have played, although I admit, not as good as others. For the price, it is a very respectible choice. I was able to get a Sheraton II, and an EPI LP, and had cash left over. As I desire a wide variety of guitar types, and am not overly wealthy, (Wife and Kids), I could not justify Gibson prices. It depends on what you want to do.

Quite a number of professional have been happy with thier EPI's Try before you buy. Try a LOT!! Gibson is a bit over proud of thier axes and are overpriced considering the quality, which I think has slipped some. I have played some that I hated!
