ok so iv had this ides for a while now, 1 of my mates has done it but didnt really do much to change it.

i wanna buy a squier and really change it. pickups etc. iv got some ideas of my own. but i just wanted the opinions of some more expirienced guitarists for a second view. and if i change to much will it mess it up? comments would be much apreciated.

Here's a couple examples:
Right: I bought a Limited Edition Canadian Dealers MIM Fat Strat. $399.00 US. It played incredible. Low and fast. Buttery feel. I ripped out the electrics and went EMG 85/SA/SA. It's my most versatile guitar. A real tone monster. Best move I could of made. EMG's will make a plank sound good.
Left: My other is a FrankenStrat I put together thru ebay. The neck is a Finder Strat Big Headstock MIJ. It's flamed! Texas Specials rounded it out for the hot rodded Texas Strat Twang.
My son liked the sound so well he changed the pups in his Squire Strat. It completely improved the sound. Go for it.
