i play an Epiphone Les paul Standard Left hander,

great guitar but the pickups are kinda wrong for what i want. It has the standard pickups from box (closed humbucker'y silver ones)

looking to change the pickups to a more

open coil sinlge pickup 'sounding' pickup.

any suggestions for mid price range alternatives?

for punk/ska to range against machine etc

Cool, Another Lefty!

My Epi LP Standard is in the process of getting Bill Lawrence Humbucker sized P-90's. You might want to look into Bill Lawrence pups. This will be my 4th guitar with his pups in it. And they are great!

I put Seymour Duncans in my Sheraton, I use them as humbuckers only, but they can be wired so you can switch them to single coil. I don't know how that will sound, but if it is of the same quality as the humbucking sound I would be satisfied
