I've got a Deluxe Super Strat (which adds 2 more pickup combos, neck/bridge, and all 3, and supposedly fatter pickups), and I'm looking to get hotter and fatter bridge tone. How would something like a Lace Sensor Red, or a hotwire balance and sound with the stock "Super Fat-Super Strat" pickups? Recommendations for other pickups? I play rock, punk, funk, a little of everything. Mostly dirty, but i don't want to lose clean tone.

Thanks,
N

I wouldn't know. But for fat bridge pickups for a strat, I often hear about Seymour Duncan (and Kent Armstrong for cheap) Hotrails and Rio Grande Stelly. I think seymourduncan site has example for listening to differences between pickups.

I have an American Standard Strat, and I pretty much play the type of music that you mentioned, Stratneal. I wasn't very happy with the stock single-coil in the bridge, but I also wanted to retain the "classic" look of my strat. So I replaced it with a Seymour Duncan Hot Rail and I couldn't be happier. They are available in black or white and are fairly inexpensive. Good luck!
