Right, i was watching the dvd of dave gilmour live in 2002 and at the start of shine on your crazy diamond he gets this almost orchestral sound in the background and then plays over the top of it.

Any idea how he does this??

i mute volume a little, set master tone on 3, put some reverb on my marshall with little more level then effect and it sounds great, bassy and smooth! The intro is quite easy, little modular but very easy!
