Hi, this may sound really stupid, but what is a footpedal. I've seen pictures of them , with small silver buttons, but have no idea what the buttons are connected to!
Thanks in advance

I'm not sure. The thing is black and fairly big, and it has small metallic buttons on it. That's all i know, sorry!
BTW, sorry for the late reply, I've been very busy this last month!

this is a joke right ???..........why would you need to know what the buttons are attached to ???....they are attached to stuff inside the black box that when you use your foot or other appendage to apply a downward force upon them they alter/change the sound you get from your gear dependant upon the particular function of that button/footpedal. |

I'm not talking about one of those EFFECT pedals, like chorus or reverb. I'm talking about a special black box, that usualy is seen together with a Marshall amp stack. Depending on the size of the amp it has, more or fewer silver buttons. These are NOT effects, though I don't know what they do. I think it has to do with the amp, though.

the only thing i can think of then, would be a footpedal for channel switching---to switch from say your clean setting to a lead/distortion setting - which you previously setup - without having to mess with your amp settings while playing.--some also do other functions dependent upon the particular amp model. |
